Sewing Project: scrappy cards
Supplies:
blank notecards (or ugly ones you want to rejuvenate!)
fabric scraps
sewing machines
Book: Denyse Schmidt Quilts by Denyse Schmidt
This was one of the first projects we ever made in NeedleReads. Simply choose scraps that you like together, arrange them on the front of the card, and sew random stitch lines across the card to connect the fabric to the paper. Everyone made multiples!
Variations to try:
more specific shapes -- applique onto paper
